Halo Infinite Mk VII [B]
Initially this was going to be a true copy, but I started this before we ever had any real references for this helmet - back in September of 2020. My best references at that time were a grainy photo of a megabloks figure and a children's half-mask - so the back half got reworked about four times as new images of the Mk VII released.
As new references came out and as the scope of the project expanded (full spartan now) I decided I'd just let my own influence override making a replica. Which ended up being a good idea idea since it allowed me to stop zooming in on renders of the helmet every five minutes and inject some of my own ideas to the design.
Overall I'm pleased with how it came out, it's a mite more aggressively stanced than the original, which is what I was going for. I wanted to hit that skunkworks/aviation feeling and in my opinion, it comes across pretty well.
This is the first piece I've done of this complexity, but I'm looking at making a full Spartan, so it only goes up from here!
